The IGA is a member of the International Renewable Energy Alliance (www.ren-alliance.invotech.se). The REN Alliance bridges the gap between policy and practice by building on the synergy of its partner organisations to achieve progress through their collective experience and knowledge. The partners comprise international organisations representing bioenergy, geothermal, solar, water and wind technologies.

On Friday, 30th October, 2015 we held a webinar on Renewables Working Together: Renewable Energy Systems and Synergies. Speakers will include representatives of the International Hydropower Association, International Solar Energy Society, World Bioenergy Association, World Wind Energy Association and the IGA.

Achieving the goal of a world supplied by 100% renewable energy will require a clear understanding of how different renewable energy technologies can work together to provide reliable energy systems. This webinar brings together five renewable energy technology organisations, representing solar, wind, geothermal, hydro, and bioenergy, to provide case studies and best practices of cities, regions, and countries where various high-penetration combinations of renewable energy technologies are working together.
