On the 1860 meters above sea, based in the old volcanoes structure a hot geothermal spring flows all year long with unsalted, highly mineralised waters of 86°C.Throughout a system of primitive pipelines the hot geothermal water powers the local households, warms the animals shelters in the harsh Mongolian winter and is used for simple greenhousing. Thanks to this hot spring the tourism sector emerged and a geothermal spa and a tourist yurts camp is constructed. The geothermal resource is an economic leverage to this small, rural community in the middle of Mongolia.
