| Abstract: | Se describe una red de telemetria sismologica digital desarrollada por el CICESE que ha estado operando en la region de Cerro Prieto, B. C., Mexico. EI sistema se usa en la deteccion de microtemblores para ayudar en la localizacion de fuentes geotermicas. La red de telemetria es digital, lo cual significa una mejora en relacion al mismo tipo de redes desarrolladas hasta ahora, va que esta disefiada para acoplarse directamente a una computadora digital que lleva a cabo el procesamiento de los datos en tiempo real. A digital telemetry seismic array developed by CICESE which has been operating in the region of Cerro Prieto, B.C., Mexico is described. The system is used in the detection of microearthquakes employed in the location of geothermal sources. The telemetry used in the array is digital, which constitutes an improvement over present networks, since it is designed to be directly coupled to a digital computer which processes the data in real time. |
